Unlocking the Secrets of an Enchanted Life
Rediscover the magic behind conscious creation
There are countless books, websites, and videos about conscious creation. Chances are, you have explored quite a few of them already. While many touch on pieces of the truth, most leave out some very important aspects of deliberate creation.
Conscious creation is actually simple. That does not mean it always feels easy. Sometimes there are things happening beneath the surface, old beliefs, hidden resistance, or subtle misalignments quietly standing between you and what you have been asking for. Unless you know how to recognize them, it can feel like you are doing everything right and still not seeing the results you expected.
You have probably heard of the movie The Secret, and maybe even The Secret Behind the Secret. But there are even more layers to this understanding. In fact, there are aspects of conscious creation that are rarely talked about, and almost never brought together in one place.
That is what I hope you will find here.
What follows are some of the often-overlooked pieces of conscious creation, the parts that can quietly make all the difference. The ideas themselves are simple, but together they changed the way I understand conscious creation.
If you read carefully, you may even notice a little surprise hidden throughout this journey. Some truths have been hiding in plain sight all along, waiting to be recognized when you are ready to fully absorb the message.
The Power of Emotion
Emotion plays a major role in creation. Without emotion, an idea can remain just that; an idea. It is like a car without gas or a sailboat without wind. You may know where you want to go, but nothing is carrying you there.
If you want to consciously create something, it is not enough to simply think about it. Allow yourself to feel it. Imagine it. Step into it. Experience it in your mind as though it is happening right now. Feel the excitement. Feel the ease. Feel the satisfaction.
The more real something feels to you emotionally, the more powerful your connection to it becomes.
The Power of Belief
In my experience, two beliefs have made all the difference:
It is possible.
It is possible for you.
Credendo Vides. By believing, one sees.
I have come to think of these two words as both a reminder and an invitation. To me, they capture the heart of conscious creation. They encourage us to look beyond what is already visible and become open to what is possible.
Belief is one of the foundations of conscious creation. If you do not believe something is possible, or possible for you, it becomes much less likely to show up in your experience.
One of the invitations of conscious creation is learning to relate to your desire as though it is already unfolding, even before physical evidence appears.
When you align yourself with the vision of your desire as though it is already here, you send a powerful signal to the Universe that you are ready to receive.
The more vividly you allow yourself to believe, the easier it becomes to recognize and align with the experiences you desire.
The Power of Imagination
Let me share a little secret with you: your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful, and it often responds to vividly imagined experiences much like it responds to physical ones.
When you immerse yourself in a mental picture and truly feel it within your body, something important begins to happen.
Researchers have conducted studies with Olympic athletes, asking them to vividly imagine themselves competing while their physiological responses were monitored. What they discovered was fascinating: the athletes’ brains responded in many of the same ways as if they were physically running the race.
Many exceptional athletes regularly visualize success long before the event itself ever happens.
You can find similar stories elsewhere, too. Some Oscar-winning actors have spoken about imagining themselves receiving that golden statue as children, even rehearsing acceptance speeches in mirrors long before success arrived physically.
They did not simply wish for success. They emotionally stepped into the experience of it.
That is the deeper meaning behind Credendo Vides. It is not just a beautiful Latin phrase. It is an invitation to believe in possibility, to imagine it vividly, and to emotionally experience it before it fully appears in your physical world. In doing so, you begin consciously participating in its creation.
The Power of Self Love
I don’t think you need to believe you are perfect. But at some level, you do need to feel worthy of what you are asking for.
Even when something is available to you, if you believe you do not deserve it, it can become very difficult to receive.
I believe from the perspective of Spirit, you could not be more worthy. What matters most here is what you believe about yourself.
You can ease gently into this process.
I am beginning to be more loving toward myself.
I am beginning to see how worthy and deserving I am.
Everyone is worthy and deserving of their desires, and I am beginning to discover how true that is.
If those statements still feel difficult, you can soften them even further by adding the words to learn.
For example:
I am beginning to learn how to be more loving toward myself.
That is enough to begin.
The Power of Inspired Action
Many spiritual teachers speak about the importance of taking action, but they often leave out something I feel is very important: the difference between inspired action and controlled action.
There is a difference between forcing something and being naturally guided toward it.
Inspired action feels lighter. It feels natural. It feels like something you genuinely want to do.
Controlled action feels heavy. It feels forced. It feels like something you should do or have to do.
That kind of action is often like trying to hammer the wrong puzzle piece into place. Usually, it does not fit very well. 😉
Instead of constantly asking yourself, What should I do? you might try asking:
What is one small step I could take that feels good when I think about it?
Very often, that is where movement begins.
The Power of Starting Small
I feel one of the main reasons some people struggle with conscious creation is because they begin with a desire that feels enormous to them.
It feels life-changing. It feels like if they could just have this one thing, all of their problems would disappear.
But they have not yet proven to themselves that they can consciously create what they desire, and so they choose the biggest challenge imaginable as their very first attempt. Then, when it does not manifest immediately, they conclude that the Law of Attraction does not work.
If you truly want to become skilled at conscious creation, I invite you to start smaller. Take baby steps until you get the hang of walking. 😉
Try choosing desires that feel lighter, less emotionally charged, and perhaps even playful.
On a scale from one to ten, with ten being extremely important, begin with something that feels like a five or below.
When something does not feel emotionally charged, the mind is less likely to interfere with doubt, fear, or resistance. That often allows things to flow more naturally.
I have noticed this many times in my own life. One day I happened to think about a football for no particular reason. It wasn’t something I wanted or needed. It simply crossed my mind.
Moments later, my husband walked through the door carrying a Nerf football. He told me it had been sitting in his truck for about a month and he had been meaning to give it to one of the neighborhood kids.
I just smiled.
Experiences like that happen to me fairly often. Not always within seconds, but sometimes within hours or a day or two. They have become little reminders that when a desire carries very little emotional charge, there is often very little resistance surrounding it.
That is one of the reasons I encourage people to begin with smaller, lighter desires. As you begin noticing your own experiences, you start building trust. And from trust comes knowing.
Once you begin knowing, moving toward larger desires becomes much easier.
The Power of Alignment
Most people attempt to consciously create while they are out of alignment with Source.
Your creative power exists within your alignment.
When you feel good, content, peaceful, appreciative, or even slightly happier while focusing on your desires, those feelings often reflect alignment with what you want to experience.
When you feel disconnected, discouraged, overwhelmed, or consumed by lack, it becomes much more difficult to align with your desires.
When you feel defined by being overweight, your attention remains on what is, rather than on the experience you wish to create.
When you feel poor, your attention naturally stays on not having enough.
When you feel lonely, your attention often remains on the absence of the loving relationship you desire.
In those moments, you are focused more strongly on the absence of what you want than the experience of already having it.
I am not saying one needs to be positive all the time. That is just not realistic. We are human and there tend to be lots of little bumps on our path.
It is about gently guiding yourself into a better-feeling emotional space before focusing intensely on your desire.
How you feel while you are creating matters.
This does not mean you cannot create while you are out of alignment. A powerful desire can sometimes carry you forward anyway. But the journey is often bumpier than it needs to be because your thoughts and emotions are pulling in different directions.
When I was very young, my older brother developed appendicitis and had to stay in the hospital. My mom spent every day there with him. My parents bought him gifts, and friends and family brought him presents too.
I was incredibly jealous.
Every day I prayed for God to send me to the hospital because I wanted all of that too.
About six weeks later, I came down with appendicitis.
The reality was nothing like I had imagined.
I received a yo-yo. My teachers sent schoolwork to the hospital. I spent four weeks there eating little more than Jell-O and Melba toast. I missed Easter, and when I finally came home, I didn’t even get an Easter basket.
Even as a child, I felt certain that my wishing and praying had somehow played a part in what happened. The desire had been powerful, but it had been born from jealousy, not joy. I had focused on getting to the hospital instead of on the love, attention, and special treatment I thought the hospital represented.
This is why I believe alignment matters when we deliberately create. It isn’t about forcing yourself to be happy every moment of every day. It is about taking a little time to reconnect with how you want to feel before placing your attention on what you want to experience.
The more your thoughts, emotions, and desires begin moving in the same direction, the smoother the journey often becomes.
The Power of Balance
There is a natural balance within this process.
Imagine a teeter-totter. When a desire is first born, it can feel as though you are standing at the low end while your desire sits far away at the opposite side. As you move toward the center, it may appear as though nothing is happening at all. That part can feel frustrating, and many people give up there.
But just beyond the center point, momentum begins to shift. Suddenly, movement accelerates.
Whoosh!
Manifestation often feels very similar.
From your physical perspective, it may appear that nothing is happening, while behind the scenes many pieces are quietly coming together.
During this time, it is important to remain connected to your desire without placing most of your attention on what is not working.
If you desire financial abundance, for example, try to spend more time feeling abundance than worrying about bills or constantly talking about rising prices.
You do not have to be positive all the time.
If you can spend more than half your time focusing on, speaking about, and appreciating things that genuinely feel good to you, that is often enough to shift momentum in your favor.
The Power of Appreciation
I believe the Universe is always listening and responding.
The Universe does not focus on exclusion in the way humans often do. It responds to what is active within your vibration.
When you appreciate what is already going well in your life, you include those experiences within your vibration, and the Universe responds with more experiences that feel similar.
On the other hand, when you constantly shout “no” toward things you dislike, your focus still remains fixed upon them.
If you want to align more fully with your desires, begin finding things to appreciate each day.
What is already going well?
Who do you love?
Who loves you?
What do you appreciate about your life right now?
Do you have a home? Food to eat? Simple comforts others may still be praying for?
Appreciate what you already have, even while desiring something more.
Do you want a new car? Wonderful. But what can you appreciate about the one you already drive? Even if there is only one small thing, it matters.
The more deeply we appreciate, the more space we create to receive things to appreciate.
✨ A Gentle Reminder
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”
~ Nikola Tesla.
The Power of Vibration
I also believe the Universe does not respond to words alone. It responds to the energy behind them.
Everything carries an energetic signature: your thoughts, your emotions, your focus, your expectations. All energy carries vibration, and frequency is simply the speed at which that energy vibrates.
Our thoughts and emotions strongly influence our vibration. What we think about and pay attention to, we include in our vibration. Feelings such as appreciation, joy, love, and peace tend to raise it, while fear, anger, shame, or despair can lower it.
Simply put, like attracts like.
If you are vibrating at a higher frequency, feeling aligned, appreciative, emotionally open, and connected to your desires, you naturally become more aligned with experiences, people, and opportunities that match that vibration.
On the other hand, when you remain focused primarily on fear, doubt, lack, or frustration, it becomes much harder to align with what you are asking for.
For example, if someone desires financial abundance but spends most of their time emotionally focused on fear around money, they are often vibrating more strongly with lack than abundance.
Likewise, someone seeking love while carrying painful beliefs about relationships may unintentionally block the very connection they desire.
Conscious creation is not about becoming perfect.
It is not about controlling every thought or forcing yourself to feel positive every moment of the day.
It is about awareness. Alignment. Intention. Learning how to work with your energy instead of against it.
Little by little, you begin to notice something interesting. The more you shift internally, the more your outer world begins to shift as well.
Sometimes the changes are subtle.
Sometimes they arrive in ways you never expected.
And sometimes what comes into your life turns out to be even better than what you originally imagined.
You are far more powerful than you have likely been taught to believe.
The Universe is always responding, always reflecting, always communicating through energy, vibration, and experience.
Perhaps the real secret was never that you had to become someone else in order to create the life you desire.
Perhaps the real secret was remembering who you already are. 💖💖💖
