The Lost Continent: The Story Of Atlantis is a novel written by C. J. Cutcliffe Hyne in 1900. The story begins with a couple of explorers-archaeologists who are exploring some caves on the Grand Canary. The Grand Canary is located in the Atlantic Ocean about 93 miles (150 km) off the northwestern coast of Africa and about 840 miles (1,350 km) from Europe.

During these explorations, one of the explorers discovers what looks to be an ancient manuscript. After a bit of deciphering, they discover the manuscript is a journal of a man called 'Deucalion'. It is his story about Atlantis.

The rest of the book is more, or less, Deucalion's story of his life in Atlantis and its eventual destruction.

There is only one illustration, but if you enjoy the works of H.G. Wells (The Time Machine), or Jules Verne (Journey To The Center Of The Earth), you might really enjoy this.
