Reiki Energy Healing

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, simple, and non-invasive energy-based modality which has its roots in traditional Japanese healing. Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-key’, is a combination of 2 Japanese words; “Rei” meaning spiritually conscious or universal and “Ki” meaning life force energy.

We are all made up of energy. Everything on this planet, including us, is made from this same Universal-God-Source energy. This Source energy contains every frequency of light and it is always moving. Reiki is a part of this same Universal-God-Source energy.

When we don’t feel good, our own energy is out of balance. Reiki is simply a way of bringing that energy back into balance. Reiki is deeply relaxing and restores a feeling of balance. It may be applied by either a light touch, or with hands held just above the body. Reiki may also be sent over a distance by a Reiki practitioner.

Reiki assists in the promotion of relaxation, enhancement of vitality, reduction of stress, and leaves you with a sense of well-being. It helps to balance the spiritual, emotional, and mental energy bodies by removing blockages and, over time, can lead to personal growth as well as emotional and spiritual awareness.

Mikao Usui

Usui Reiki History

How Reiki developed is a very long story. The short version is that this ancient healing technique was originally practiced by Tibetan monks for centuries before becoming a lost art. It was rediscovered in Japan in the 1920′s by Dr. Mikao Usui after 21 days of intense fasting and meditation. After experiencing his own profound healing and using it to treat the poor, he developed the Usui System of Natural Healing; a comprehensive system of hands-on holistic therapy for body, mind, and spirit.

No previous training or experience is necessary to become an Usui Reiki practitioner.  Just a simple attunement to Usui Reiki level 1 and some practice, of course.

Ascended Master Kuthumi

Kundalini Reiki History

Kundalini Reiki is connected to the Ascended Master Kuthumi (pronounced koo-too-me), Master of the Second Ray. According to Theosophy, Kuthumi is considered to be one of the members of the Spiritual Hierarchy called the Masters of the Ancient Wisdom which oversees the development of the human race on this planet to higher levels of consciousness. In the Ascended Master Teachings, Kuthumi is one of the Ascended Masters who collectively make up the Great White Brotherhood. Master Kuthumi is connected with the The Temple of Love, Wisdom and Understanding, the yellow ray and the Crown chakra. Kundalini Reiki is said to have come about as the result of many hours of meditation and channeled experiences of Ole Gabrielson where he communed with this ascended master in his home of Denmark.

In addition, Kundalini Reiki includes:
Balance All
Diamond Reiki
Crystalline Reiki
Past Life Reiki
Location Reiki
Birth Trauma Reiki
DNA Reiki

When sending Kundalini Reiki, the energy appears to flow more openly than Usui Reiki. Many people, with experience of Usui Reiki, say the energy feels stronger when receiving Kundalini Reiki.

This is due to further opening of the practitioner’s energy channels during attunements. The energy, itself, is the very same universal energy used in Usui. Results seem to come more quickly and Kundalini Reiki stops flowing from the practitioner after 3-5 minutes. However, the energy continues to flow through the receiver for some time, as long as the receiver is open to allowing the energy flow. Kundalini Reiki sessions tend to be much shorter, yet achieve comparable results!

Attunement to Usui Reiki Level 3(Master-Teacher) is necessary before you can be attuned to Kundalini Reiki.

What’s the difference between Reiki forms?

There are hundreds of forms of Reiki out there, each with it’s own merits. These are my perceptions of how it works.
Source energy contains all frequencies of light. It is what makes up our bodies, our clothes, our homes, and everything on the planet. Each form of Reiki is tuning in to certain frequencies from this all encompassing Source energy. All Reiki is at a frequency of Love, or above.

Then, there is the practitioner and their ability to channel these frequencies. The more open a channel and higher vibration the practitioner is, the more frequencies they have access to as a healer. This is why certain Reiki attunements require prior attunement to other forms of Reiki. We all have the ability to channel all frequencies, but we must be a vibrational match to the frequency, before we can allow it to flow.
